ON HER HISTORY WITH STYLE:
My interest in style started quite young and was cultivated by my mother and grandmother. In my teenage years I discovered a love of vintage fashion that has continued to grow throughout my life. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many different countries. In each destination, I search for special vintage pieces to add to my collection as well as learn more about style, textiles, and color of different regions.
I have experimented with creating fashion accessories including hair pieces, jewelry, and handbags throughout my life. In 2002-2004 while living in California, I started a business selling my unique hand-stitched bags.
Moving to Asia in 2004 gave me my first taste of being able to designing clothing and having it made to order. In the first year that I lived in Shanghai, I visited the fabric market every weekend, captivated by the colorful array of the textiles.
ON HER EDUCATION AND WORK HISTORY:
I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Antioch University. I then moved to New York City to attain a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College. After 10 years of classroom teaching I decided to change careers and pursue the passion for style that I have cultivated since childhood.
ON IMAGE:
What I love the most about style is its ability to make people feel good about themselves while allowing for expression of their unique outlook on the world.
I have always believed that people look the best when they are comfortable and confident. Buying the latest trends or famous labels is not what defines style. The key is finding a look that suits your lifestyle and personality and allows your inner beauty to shine out onto the rest of the world.
ON CONSULTING:
I offer a free preliminary consultation to all of my clients because I want to begin to get to know more about them, their lifestyle, and their ambitions before embarking on a journey of transformation.
I enjoy helping people strive to be their best and it's a great pleasure to see how they blossom throughout the process.
Imagine a new you.
